Very good read. The book is about a black man in the time period after the Civil War. I loved his character. He always tries to look deep into a person and uses that to deflect their antagonism towards him. This particular author has written several books about the Civil War era and others. She is a fairly new author and has improved with each book. I encourage anyone to check out her other books.Product details

Love all of her books.
